How to Make Homemade Pancakes
Lets go over How to Make Homemade Pancakes now that we have decided on our mix. First choose your best skillet, cast iron or griddle. All cook pancakes easy, but make sure that you pick one with a large enough cooking area. You don’t want to end up cooking 2 or worse 1 pancake at a time, which makes for a delayed cooking time and leaves bellies hungry. A How to Homemade Tip if you only have a smaller cooking surface is to heat your home oven to 150-200 degree with a baking sheet in it. As you finish the pancakes place them in the oven to stay warm until all the pancakes are done. That way everyone can have pancakes together, including you!
Next set the cooking temperature to a medium heat. Brush the cooking surface with Butter or your personal cooking spray of choice. Homemade Tip:Butter will taste better and the pancake will brown more evenly. Once the surface is hot pour your homemade pancake mix in, you’ll want to keep this part under control. 1/4 cup or large spoons make smaller pancakes, half cup is medium normal sized pancake. The bigger the pancake the harder it gets to flip or cook evenly.
Once the pancake has started to bubble on the top generally 2-4 minutes depending on size, Its time to learn how to flip a pancake. Depending on the homemade pancake mix your using the top could still have partial battery sections. To avoid a messy pancake caused by uncooked batter slinging around as you flip it use an appropriate sized spatula and practice learning how to make the flip in one fluid motion. You pancake presentation will improve over time, I promise! Let the flipped pancake cook about another 2 minutes until the bottom of the pancake is golden brown. Best served with homemade pancake compote or homemade pancake syrup:)
